Privacy policy

This policy explains how Moonshift and its website handle information. Moonshift is provided by ACute Games, operated by Vanik Sargsyan in Armenia.
At a glance
- Your game progress and settings are saved on your device.
- The Android release uses Firebase Analytics for basic usage and round statistics.
- Google Play Games handles online rankings and its player profiles.
- Moonshift has no advertising or in-app purchases in this version.
1. Information we handle
Saved on your device
Moonshift saves settings, tutorial progress, scores, the total-points ledger and interrupted games so you can continue later. Legacy cosmetic progress may also remain in your save. The app does not send the full saved game to Firebase Analytics or Google Play Games. Android backup and restore may copy local app data according to your device and Google account settings.
Basic app analytics
In the Android version with online services, Firebase Analytics collects basic app usage automatically. This can include an app-instance identifier, device and app information, session activity and approximate location derived from a masked IP address. Moonshift does not request GPS location.
Our gameplay events cover starting and ending a game, starting and completing rounds, and starting and finishing or skipping practice. They contain the round, displayed score, outcome, new-game or replay entry, and game/build rules. From version 1.8.10, we also collect service diagnostics: whether scores are pending, whether Play Games authentication succeeds, whether score reads and uploads succeed, and whether a leaderboard screen opens. These diagnostics contain the app version, service stage, board, outcome, numeric service error-code labels and whether a public rank was returned. They do not contain Play Games player IDs, names, email addresses, exact score values, raw error messages or saved games. We do not include names, email addresses, pointer coordinates or complete save files in our custom events, and we do not set a custom Analytics User-ID.
Basic analytics is enabled by default in ordinary Android play; there is no analytics switch in the game menu. Moonshift disables advertising-ID collection and ad-personalization signals in its app configuration. Playing offline does not necessarily stop information being sent later when connectivity returns. Browser game builds and Android builds without the online-services adapter do not use this native analytics integration.
Google Play Games
Google Play Games manages sign-in and your gamer profile. Moonshift submits completed-game best scores and accumulated installation points to separate leaderboards when a player session is available. The app reads your Play Games player ID to keep scores associated with the correct profile and stores that association locally. It can retrieve your previously synced best and total scores after a reinstall when you reconnect with the same profile. Google’s SDK also processes service analytics and diagnostics. Your profile and score visibility depend on your Play Games settings. Moonshift does not create a separate account or ask for your Google password.
Messages you send us
If you email support, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. Please do not include passwords or information unrelated to your request.
2. How information is used
Local data lets the game remember settings, recover an interrupted run and record scores. Analytics helps us understand how many people play, which rounds they reach and where games or tutorials end. Service diagnostics help us investigate sign-in and leaderboard synchronization failures. Leaderboard data provides online rankings. Support messages help us answer questions, investigate problems and handle privacy requests.
We do not sell your personal information. This version does not serve advertisements, process purchases or use our gameplay events for personalized advertising.
3. Providers and sharing
Moonshift uses Google’s Firebase Analytics and Google Play Games services. Information needed for those services is processed by Google and its service providers under their applicable terms and privacy practices. Google Play Games can display gamer profiles and scores to other players according to profile visibility settings.
Support correspondence is processed through our email provider. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect rights and address misuse. Service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live.
Read more in Google’s Privacy Policy, Firebase’s privacy information and Google Play Games data information.
4. Storage, retention and security
Local progress normally stays on your device until you clear the app’s storage or remove the app; a system backup may restore it later. Analytics retention follows the Google Analytics property’s retention controls and Google’s service-specific rules. Aggregated reports may remain longer than individual event records. Google Play Games records remain subject to your profile controls and Google’s retention and deletion practices.
We retain support correspondence for as long as needed to respond, resolve related issues and meet applicable legal obligations. Requests to remove correspondence can be sent to the address below.
Google’s analytics and game services use encrypted connections for transmitted data. We take reasonable care with information we handle, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
5. Your choices and deletion
- Local progress: clear Moonshift’s app storage through Android settings. This removes your local progress and settings. Review Android/Google backup settings separately if you also want to manage backups.
- Google Play Games: manage profile visibility, sign-in settings and game-data deletion in Play Games. Google explains how to delete a Play Games profile or an individual game’s data.
- Stored scores: local and Google records are separate. Removing a local save does not automatically remove leaderboard records, and removing a Google record does not clear local points. A later signed-in game session may upload the remaining local scores again.
- Analytics and support information: contact us to ask about access or deletion. Because analytics uses an app-instance identifier and we do not collect a Moonshift account identity, your email alone may not let us locate an individual analytics record. We will explain what we can identify and the available provider controls.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or delete information, restrict or object to processing, or complain to a data-protection authority. Contact us to make a request. We may need limited information to verify and carry it out.
6. Children’s information
Moonshift does not ask players to provide their age or date of birth. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact us so we can review the situation and address applicable deletion obligations.
7. This website
The Moonshift homepage and this policy do not include analytics scripts, advertising, contact forms or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider processes connection and request information needed to deliver and secure these pages. External services linked here follow their own privacy practices. If you contact us by email, the support-message provisions above apply.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the game or its data practices change. The current version will be available on this page with its updated date. Where applicable law requires additional notice or consent, we will provide it.
